Lucidity
I was patiently waiting for a noble hero to gallantly save me from the confines of my own self-imposed bondage. A comforting discomfort with a familiar taste: care. I’ve come to realize I was the only thing standing in the way of my own freedom. I was the dragon, the knight and the damsel in distress. My once shiny armor gathering dust begging to be worn by someone with good intentions since I was convinced I was unworthy of such luxuries: safety, sanity.
The ropes were always tied loosely and I was always allowed to leave.
